Green Hearts South Africa has launched an inspiring Sanitary Drive in local schools, aiming to empower students and the wider community through education, awareness, and action. The initiative is part of the organization’s three-fold goal: educating, raising awareness, and taking actionable steps toward improving menstrual health and hygiene.
The drive adopts an educational approach, helping young people and communities understand the importance of openly discussing sensitive topics such as menstrual health. It also focuses on teaching proper disposal practices for sanitary products guidance designed to eliminate fear or stigma surrounding these everyday health needs.
Coordinator Brendon Ndiza emphasized the importance of community involvement: “We encourage everyone willing to help spread awareness and contribute to this vital cause to get involved. Together, we can foster understanding and break the silence around menstrual health.”
